Calm and Creative Day - 9.30-13.00 Saturday 4th October
St Lawrence Church Hall, Broad Street, Chipping Sodbury
Once again I'll be co-hosting this morning workshop with Jenny from Rebalance with Jenny and Beth from Peace, Pencils and Portraits. There will be self-care, drawing and writing, plus pastries, fruit and drinks. There will be sessions on breathwork, drawing and creative writing. No one will be asked to read aloud or share their drawings. Our last sessions have proved to be very popular. If you feel you might need a Saturday morning to yourself over the school holidays, and you'd like to meet some friendly, creative people, why not come along? Bring a friend along too! Halloween prompts Workshop
Emersons Green Village Hall
Thursday 23rd October 18.30-21.00
This workshop will involve me setting exercises and prompts that will encourage you to write for short periods of time e.g. about 15 mins for each prompt. All the prompts will be in some way linked to Halloween. Sometimes the exercises might be to write a story, a memory or a poem with guidance. People are often surprised by how much they write within this time. No one is asked to read aloud but we often talk about our ideas in 1-2-1 or small group chats. It doesn't matter whether you've never written or whether you enjoy writing crime, horror, children's, contemporary stories - the prompts will help create new ideas. The previous sessions have always been relaxed, fun and a safe space to get creative. There will also be hot drinks and sweet treats. £30
